SFC staff will be working remotely and available to SFC providers through their work cell phones. If you have an emergency or specific needs please contact your Family Based Care Specialist. Training Objectives:

  1. Provider knows the types of available assistive technology devices
  2. Provider knows potential sources of financial help for assistive technology devices
  3. Provider knows some home modifications which may increase independent living
  4. Provider knows about assistive technology devices which are available to assist children
  5. Provider knows about the Individuals with Disabilities Act as it relates to assistive technology for children
  6. Provider knows about the WV agency which is a resource for assistive technology needs

Training Procedures:

  • *Provider initiated self-study (View Course Materials)
  • Test completed by Provider (Take the Test Below)
  • Review of test responses by Family Based Care Specialist and Provider

* The test is packaged with the Course Materials, however you can take the test online by clicking the link above. Test answers are then submitted electronically to a Family Based Care Specialist for review.
