Specialized Family Care Program

SFC staff will be working remotely and available to SFC providers through their work cell phones. If you have an emergency or specific needs please contact your Family Based Care Specialist. Training Objectives:

  1. Specialized Family Care Provider can critique a movie or television show related to an intellectual/developmental disability
  2. Specialized Family Care Provider can determine if movie or television show applies to the provision of care for individuals with an intellectual/developmental disability
  3. Specialized Family Care Provider gains knowledge about an intellectual/developmental disability and provision of services

Training Procedures:

  • *Provider initiated self-study. Alternate formats of the study materials are available upon request. (View Course Materials)/ Specialized Family Care Provider selects movie or television show related to developmental disabilities and obtains permission from family Base Care Specialist for use as a training module
  • Test completed by Provider (Take the Test below)
  • Review of test responses by Family Based Care Specialist and Provider
